Welcome to our website
The Valparaiso Kennel Club is a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to the advancement of the sport of
purebred dogs.

Valparaiso Kennel Club, Inc. has been approved by
the American Kennel Club to host all breed
conformation dog shows, junior showmanship and
obedience trials. Our shows for 2010 will be on
June 24 and 25, 2010, as part of the Popcorn
Cluster of Dog Shows with Michiana and Berrien
Kennel Club(s) June 26 and 27 at the Porter County
Fairgrounds, 215 East Division Road, Valparaiso,

Recognized by the AKC in 1984, the Valparaiso
Kennel Club is located in
Valparaiso, Indiana, just south of the beautiful shores of Lake
Michigan and the
Indiana
Dunes State Park.
Our members participate in a wide
range of American Kennel Club dog activities
including conformation events, performance events such as obedience
trials, agility trials, herding trails, field trials, water trials
and therapy work.
Valparaiso Kennel Club takes pride in
their community involvement. Through their obedience training
program the VKC helps area dog owners to train their pets to be
Canine Good Citizens.
VKC's latest contribution to the
community has been the presentation of 3 bullet proof jackets for
the K-9 Division of the
Porter County Sheriff's Department.
Educational programs have included a
variety of topics such as care for the elderly dog and are open to
the public.
The Valparaiso Kennel
Club meets at 7:30 pm on the 1st Thursday of each month at the
Century 21 Pace
Estates, 1805 E Lincolnway, Valparaiso. It is in
the strip mall with Indiana Furniture on one side
and Cardinal Fitness on the other.
